Strong Patrick

Irish-style Red Ale • 6.1% • Seasonal

Strong Patrick is the classic style from the Emerald Isle. It is luscious and malty, with toasty caramel and coffee. A portion of the ale has been fermented and aged on French oak staves, then reintroduced to add a rich accent of wood and vanilla to this year’s blend.

History & Style

Strong Patrick is our version of the classic style from the Emerald Isle. It was first brewed in 2012 for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations at Beau’s Brewery, and has been a returning seasonal favourite ever since. Its red hue is the result of the addition of roasted barley to recipe, which also includes Aramis hops and Irish ale yeast.

Tasting Notes

Strong Patrick pours a brilliant red with a creamy head. Its aroma conjures notes of caramel, oak and malts. It has a malty backbone, with a touch of toasty caramel and vanilla, and a mild bitterness to round and balance.
