Our beer is also available in every province at private beer stores and liquor commissions. Can’t find your favourite beer at your local store? Ask your local shop for Beau’s beer or shoot us an email to ohyeah@beaus.ca and we will point you in the direction of a store near you.

Can you ship your delicious nectar to my home in [insert any place outside Ontario here]? Sadly, no. Due to strict laws surrounding the exportation beer, we can only send beer to consumers in Ontario.

Why is BYBO only available in Ottawa? BYBO is a social enterprise set up by Operation Come Home and supported by Beau’s. OCH employs at-risk youth to deliver beer and pick up empty bottles for three months, teaching them various jobs skills. OCH’s delivery range only services Ottawa and they are the exclusive partner of Buy Your Beau’s Online.

Our Brewery

Who owns Beau’s? The employees! Beau’s is an independent brewery owned by the employees through an ESOP (Employee Share Ownership Program). Being an independent brewery keeps our minds free to innovate, our hands free to craft, and hearts free to care. The beer we create and the choices we make are authentic, inspired by real people who work here, and who love craft beer just like you. A crucial part of being independent is our ongoing support for fellow craft brewers. Generosity is part of the Beau’s ethos. We’ll also remain vocal defenders of the craft beer industry. Oh Yeah!

Who started Beau’s? Father and Son co-founders Tim and Steve Beauchesne started Beau’s All Natural Brewing Co. in 2006. With the help of family and friends, Beau’s became the labour of love that it is today. Come for a visit, and we’ll tell you the whole story!

Our Beer

What are these floaters in my beer? These “floaters” are called sediment. Most importantly, the sediment is natural and totally safe to drink. A component of the beer’s hops can sometimes bind together with its protein, and that creates the sediment you see. Since some beers are unfiltered and pretty hoppy those beers are more likely than others to develop this sediment over time. In the meantime, you can continue to enjoy the delicious, hoppy beers – we recommend you take the following steps to reduce the transfer of sediment to the glass:

  1. Store and chill the beer upright (not lying flat) in your fridge. If the beer has recently been transported or laid on its side, set it upright and give it 3-4 hours for the sediment to settle to the bottom of the bottle.
  2. Always serve the beer in a glass – we suggest a tulip-shaped glass such as the Brussels. Pour slowly, but with enough vigour to create some foam and begin to release the hop aromas. Using one non-stop pour is ideal – if this requires two glasses, have them both ready and be sure not to upright the bottle in between.
  3. Try not to drain the bottle entirely; leave behind the last ounce or so that is heavy with sediment.

Are your beers vegan? All of our beers are suitable for a vegan diet except beers from The Tom Green series – these beers have lactose in them.

Are any of your beers Gluten-free? While our beer is delicious it is not gluten-free. However, we’d recommend Glutenberg, a Montreal based, gluten-free brewery. Glutenberg has been our gluten-free beer of choice at our signature events, so we would absolutely recommend their products. They’re up to some pretty cool stuff, including a Gose! We were serving their beer last weekend at our event of the year, Beau’s Oktoberfest!
