Farm Table: Patersbier
Belgian-Style Ale • 4.7% • Farm Table SeriesHistory & Style
Milder in alcohol than a dubbel or tripel, Patersbier (“Father’s beer”) was traditionally brewed by monks to enjoy within the walls of their abbey, while they worked away at brewing their famous strong ales.
Tasting Notes
Pours a slightly hazy blond with dense, rocky white foam. Sweet honeyed malt with floral overtones dominate the aroma. The flavour features initial malt sweetness. Peppery notes from the yeast lend complexity while hop bitterness provides balance. The finish is bright, clean and crisp.
