History & Style
The base beer for this offering is a traditional dark German doppelbock, brewed to 8% abv. Coffee was steeped in the kettle after boiling to add a whole new dimension of complex flavours.
Tasting Notes
Aromas and flavours of chocolate, dried fruit, warming alcohol and burnt toffee meld with pronounced, pure coffee flavours. Chocolate and coffee linger on the palate after each sip.
Food Pairings
Perfect for an after-dinner pairing with sweet, rich desserts, coffee cake, tiramisu and chocolate.
