Cooking with Beau’s – Pulled Pork Rub
This is a recipe from the Beau’s Pantry; pair the pulled pork alongside Lug-Tread, Golden Vox or B-Side favourites, Kissmeyer NPA and La Formidable
This rub is perfect for slow cooking or smoking a pork shoulder roast.
Ingredients:
- ¼ C olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp demerara sugar
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp whole cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp ancho chili powder
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme, leaves only chopped
- 1 tbsp kosher salt
- 1 tbsp freshly milled black pepper
- 2 tsp dry oregano
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
2. Rub the pork roast with the spice mix.
3. For best results, cover with cling wrap and let rest in fridge for 4 hours prior to cooking.
