History & Style

Helles traditional golden lager is a bona fide beer garden classic. The style evolved in Germany during the 19th century as a made-in-Munich version of the Czech’s popular pilsner.

Tasting Notes

Helles pours brilliantly clear straw gold with white foam. Pleasantly mild bread and malt aromas are followed by similar fresh-bread and malt flavours held in balance by finessed hop bitterness. The finish is clean and satisfying.

Food Pairings

Helles-brined fried chicken, classic fish n’ chips, German-style sausages (such as bratwurst or weisswurst) with sharp mustard, soft cheeses like Havarti, fresh mozzarella & curds.
