Voting Now Open for Best of Beau’s Holiday 4-pack

Fans can choose their favourite Beau’s beers in each category by voting online or at the brewery; winners will be brewed up for Beau’s 2015 LCBO gift pack

OTTAWA – (May 19, 2015) Online and in-person voting begins today for the fourth annual edition of Best of Beau’s: a mixed 4-pack of fan-favourite Beau’s beers to be released for sale in November. Once again, Beau’s will be letting democracy decide which beers go into the holiday gift pack, which will be available for sale at LCBOs across Ontario, as well as direct from the brewery.

Adding to the fun this year will be a new bracketed format for the voting. Fans will vote for their favourites through three weekly head-to-head rounds, helping them advance through the competition to the final four. Voting categories will include a) Hopheads, b) Heavy Hitters, c) Traditionals, and d) Wild Cards.

Beau’s will be celebrating its ninth birthday this July, and has produced 98 unique beers in that time. Only a handful of brands that are already available year round, or were impossible to recreate were excluded from the Best of Beau’s voting.

Last year a total of 2,097 votes were cast to choose the winning Best of Beau’s beers of 2014: St. Luke’s Verse (lavender gruit), Winterbrewed (coffee-infused amber ale), Burnt Rock (vanilla porter), and Mission Accomplished (American-Style IPA).

Fans will have only a few weeks to vote their favourite Beau’s beer into the mix pack, as the polls will close Sunday June 7. Voting can be done online at the Beau’s website, or at the brewery’s retail store in Vankleek Hill. The online ballot for Best of Beau’s can be found at www.beaus.ca/VOTE. Results will be announced Wednesday June 10.

The mix pack, containing 4 signature 600 ml bottles, will be sold for $26 in LCBOs across Ontario, as well as direct from the brewery, and through home delivery in Ottawa via BYBO (www.bybo.ca). The 4-packs are expected to be on the LCBO shelves in November, just in time for the holiday season.
