Tom Green Summer Stout is back… for a limited time

Beau’s Brewing Co. is releasing just two batches of its Tom Green Summer Stout for 2019 – one for Ontario, and one for Québec. The “blonde edition” of its Tom Green milk stout, Tom Green Summer Stout won a Bronze in the Experimental Beer Category for Canada that year at the World Beer Awards. It is part of a revolving series of milk stouts brewed by Beau’s in collaboration with Canadian actor and comedian Tom Green.

Tom Green Summer Stout is an intriguing juxtaposition of appearance and experience, meaning: it looks like a golden blonde ale, but drinks like a stout. It is brewed using a light-roast barley malt and flaked oats, as well as lactose, the sugar that gives milk stouts their signature mild sweetness. The beer is cold-aged on certified organic cacao nibs and a medium-roast organic coffee, infusing a brilliant, clear golden ale with stout-like aromas. Mocha flavour notes are supplemented by subtle berry nuances, and the finish is mildly sweet and lingering.

Tom Green Summer Stout will be stocked and sold at Ontario LCBO and Québec retailers in 600 ml bottles this spring, while supplies last. The official launch date is Thursday April 25, when it will be available for take-home from the Beau’s Brewery Tap Room in Vankleek Hill.
