S2 E3: Lagered Tales, presented by Beau’s

The Start of Summer Episode: Feature interview with singer-songwriter Jenn Grant, a behind-the-scenes look at developing Canada’s first certified organic radler, and we talk to two Beau’s dads for Father’s Day

We were so pumped to have the amazing Jenn Grant playing Beau’s Oktoberfestthis year that we had to get her on the podcast. We chat about recording her new, very personal album called Love, Inevitable, as well as visual art, her intuition, and the “nowhere place” that songs come from. She also shares the secret of how to find a rare recording of hers online.

If you’ve ever wondered how we come up with new recipes at Beau’s, this next segment is for you. We sit down with Denise Morin, Beau’s Quality Manager, to hear the story of how she was tasked with creating a delicious, not too sweet and totally crushable radler – a cocktail blend of beer and citrus juice – and the care she and the team took to ensure it met the guidelines to be Pro-Cert organic certified.

Finally, we toast all the dads – and their white sneakers – for Father’s Day. “Streets” Mike gets Eddy, newly returned from his pat leave, to tell us 10 things no one warned him about before he became a dad to twin girls last year, from stepping on grapes to getting wrapped up in the plot of kids shows. We also check in with Beau’s sales rep Adam Wilson on being a great dad while balancing a busy work schedule, and we get him to tell a few groaner dad-jokes too.
