It’s The Tom Green Beer … with a cherry on top!

Beau’s roasty, creamy and luscious milk stout tries on a fruity new twist for the fall, with the subtle sweetness of tasty organic cherries

Beau’s Brewery has released a new edition of The Tom Green Beer! Milk Stout in Ontario and Québec, made with organic cherries and organic cherry juice. The fruity new twist for the fall follows up Tom Green Beer Summer Stout, a blonde stout made with coffee and cacao. A friend of the brewery, Canadian actor and comedian Tom Green is the inspiration for Beau’s Tom Green series of beers.

Tom Green Cherry Milk Stout pours black-brown with garnet highlights, and is 5.6 % ABV. The aroma offers dark malt notes reminiscent of mochaccino, coupled with sweet, fruity cherry. The flavour imparts dark chocolate and dark roast coffee, offset by dessert-like cherry intonations. The finish echoes with lingering dark malt and cherries. Beau’s Brewmaster Matthew O’Hara recommends slightly warmer service for this stout at 6-8 C, in a traditional pub-style nonic glass.

Tom Green Cherry Milk Stout is now available in LCBOs across Ontario, as well as Québec dépanneurs, and craft-friendly restaurants and pubs in both provinces. Bottles are also available for purchase at the Beau’s Brewery tap room, and City of Ottawa residents can order it for home delivery through the BYBO service (www.bybo.ca). B.C., Alberta and New York will have Tom Green Cherry Milk Stout available on tap and in bottles; it will be on tap only in Manitoba, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

A limited-edition offering, Tom Green Cherry Milk Stout is expected to be on shelves through to the end of 2017. The award-winning original recipe, The Tom Green Beer! Milk Stout, is slated to return to the Beau’s line-up in early 2018.
