Tin Ceiling

Best Bitter • 4.1% •

We brewed Tin Ceiling to celebrate the 10th (Tin) anniversary of Ottawa’s Wellington Gastropub. Cheers to WGP for giving us 10 wonderful years of music, food and drink under their iconic tin ceiling, and to all the great things the next decade will bring!

History & Style:

Best bitter is a traditional British-style pale ale with noticeable hops, and mild alcohol strength. Our version is made with whole leaf aroma hops from Old 4th Hop Yard in Glengarry, Ont.

Tasting Notes:

Pours a slightly hazy deep gold-light orange. The aroma offers light citrus and biscuity, grassy notes. The flavour is fruity and lighty malty with a clean hop bite. The finish is dry and refreshing.

Food Pairings:

Grilled cheese with mushrooms and beer-braised onions, chicken-fried cauliflower with dill pickle mayo, almond brown butter cake with apricot preserve and Chantilly, pan-fried perch with Gribiche sauce and kohlrabi-apple slaw.
