Fifty Shades of Gris” Imperial Gruit Aged in Pinot Gris barrels
Fifty Shades of Gris is a barrel-aged 2016 edition of imperial gruit ale, Grandmaster O.G., a past silver medal winning beer at the Canadian Brewing Awards. Five months in pinot gris barrels have imparted a wine-like character to this imperial-strength gruit made with Labrador Tea, bog myrtle, thyme, and yarrow.
Fifty Shades of Gris pours hazy orange with a white foam. Aromas are of lemon curd, with subtle oak and white wine. Herbal thyme flavour melds with zesty, lemony, vino notes. The finish is dry and slightly tannic.
Local spring water, organic barley malts, organic hops, Labrador tea, organic bog myrtle, organic thyme, organic yarrow, brewer's yeast.
