History & Style
Weissbier is a German-style wheat ale, with a history that goes back to Bavarian brewing in the 16th century. The wheat malt and hefeweizen ale yeast come together to create the clove and banana aromas and characteristic flavours that set the weissbier style apart.
Tasting Notes
Weissbier pours a cloudy pale yellow with a frothy white foam. The aroma suggests lemon zest, mild clove and unripe banana. The flavour is a zippy medley of citrus, banana and mild spice. The finish is thirst-quenching and refreshing.
