Brasserie Beau’s releases new “Strong Patrick” Irish Red Style Ale in Québec

New barrel-blended Strong Irish Red Style Ale has pleasant toasty and toffee notes, subtle wood and vanilla nuances, and warming alcohol & whiskey flavours

VANKLEEK HILL – (Mar. 9, 2015) For those looking to warm up for St. Paddy’s Day celebrations March 17, Brasserie Beau’s has released a new strong Irish Red Style Ale this week, called “Strong Patrick”. Strong Patrick will be available on draft and in bottles at select craft-friendly locations in Gatineau, Montréal, and Québec City, as well as some smaller locations in between.

Strong Patrick is a 6.7% ABV interpretation of an Irish Red Ale. Part of the batch has been aged in whiskey barrels and then reintroduced, adding subtle wood and vanilla nuances. The style is typically lightly hopped, well rounded and balanced, with a pleasant toasted malt character. Brewmaster Matthew O’Hara describes the beer as luscious and red-hued with a malty backbone, showcasing toasty and toffee notes complemented by warming alcohol & whiskey flavours. Like all Brasserie Beau’s beer, Strong Patrick is certified organic.

A list of places to find the new beer “Strong Patrick” in Québec (as well as other Brasserie Beau’s beer, including the award-winning Lug Tread Lagered Ale) is available on the Brasserie Beau’s website: http://beaus.ca/fr/ou-nous-trouver. This limited-edition beer will be available through early spring.
