History & Style:

Predominantly malty and moderately hopped, mild ale is a minimalist beer, with British roots that go back to the 17th century. Our interpretation of the style is brewed with Whitbread Golding Variety hops and Vermont Ale yeast.

Tasting Notes:

Pours a lightly hazy ruby-brown with a white foam. The aromas suggests chocolate and dried fruit. The flavour consists of chocolate, raisins, a touch of apricot and a light impression of umami. The mouthfeel is relatively full for the low strength, offering mineral notes. The finish is dry, with aftertastes of lightly roasted malt.

Food Pairings:

Lamb shepherd’s pie, pork and sage sausage with mashed potatoes, pork & ham pies, cheddar scones, cardamom shortbread, two-year-old cheddar or Wensleydale cheese.
