Belgian-style Patersbier is next up in Beau’s Farm Table Series

Honeyed malt sweetness meets its match in hop bitterness, and peppery notes contribute playful complexity in this 4.7% Belgian-style ale

(OTTAWA – May 16, 2016) Beau’s Brewery is adding to the roster of its Farm Table Series this week, with the release of Farm Table: Patersbier in Ontario and Québec. Farm Table Series are sessionable beers inspired by tradition and brewed true to a classic style. Farm Table: Patersbier is a 4.7% hazy blond Belgian-style ale, with a bright, crisp finish that’s suited to summer.

Milder in alcohol than a Belgian-style dubbel or tripel, Patersbier means “Father’s Beer” – it was traditionally brewed by monks to enjoy within the walls of the abbey, while they worked away at brewing their famous strong ales. Farm Table: Patersbier is introduced to the senses by sweet honeyed malt aromas with slight floral overtones. The flavour features initial malt sweetness that meets it match in 22 IBU hop bitterness. Peppery notes from the Belgian yeast contribute playful complexity and a clean finish.

Farm Table: Patersbier will be available in LCBO stores for a summer feature. Craft-friendly Québec-based grocery and corner stores will also stock it for the same time frame. It will be sold in Beau’s signature 600 ml bottles. Farm Table: Patersbier can also be purchased from the Beau’s Brewery retail store, or for home delivery in the City of Ottawa via the BYBO service (www.bybo.ca).
