Punch Clock

Mild Ale • 3.5 % • Pro-Am

Punch Clock Mild Ale is part of the Pro-Am Series… cheers to Mark Pennell, who won the 2015 Beau’s Oktoberfest homebrew contest, earning the prize of brewing his beer in the Beau’s brewhouse for 2016!

History & Style

Predominantly malty and moderately hopped, mild ale is a minimalist beer, with British roots that go back to the 17th century. Our interpretation of the style is brewed with Whitbread Golding Variety hops and Vermont Ale yeast.

Tasting Notes:

Pours a lightly hazy ruby-brown with a white foam. The aromas suggests chocolate and dried fruit. The flavour consists of chocolate, raisins, a touch of apricot and a light impression of umami. The mouthfeel is relatively full for the low strength, offering mineral notes. The finish is dry, with aftertastes of lightly roasted malt.
