Le Coeur Noir (Black IPA) aged in Whiskey barrels for 3 months.


My Burning Heart is a whiskey-barrel aged evolution of Cœur Noir, a black IPA we brewed in February 2015 in collaboration with Jordan Rainhard of Rainhard Brewing. The prominent dark malt notes, full body and assertive bitterness of the base beer proved to be a harmonious match for the rich flavour and aromas that were imparted during its 3-month residence in American whiskey barrels. My Burning Heart pours opaque black, with a creamy ecru-toned foam. Aromas of whiskey, mocha and raisins are present. Flavours of whiskey and cocoa are complemented by an assertive bitterness and woody tannins. The finish is long and warm.
