Glowing a deep copper colour, Mr. Hyde displays vibrant floral aromas and herbal, peppery flavours. Mr. Hyde features an aggressive use of German hops which provides a characteristic bitterness in the flavour and aroma, while rye malt provides a spiciness and earthiness to the beer. Mr. Hyde finishes with a pleasantly dry, lingering bitterness.


History & Style

Roggenbier is a Bavarian rye beer that was quite popular in the medieval era, but fell into obscurity in 1516 when the German Purity laws were adopted in Bavaria and stated that only barley could be used for brewing.

Tasting Notes

Aromas of spice, pepper, and floral notes complement a medium body with mild citrus undertones, and a spicy malt flavour. Mr. Hyde finishes with a clean lingering hop bitterness and peppery rye notes.
