Life on Juniper is a saison made with smoked barley and German dark wheat malts. Organic juniper berries and a secondary fermentation with brettanomyces contribute additional complexity and a dry finish.

History & Style:
Saisons originated in the Wallonia region of Belgium, where traditionally it was brewed to slake the thirst of farmhands during harvest time. The addition of fruit/spices and some Brett character are historically accurate to the saison style. The use of smoked malt creates a saison-rauchbier hybrid.
Life On Juniper pours deep gold with a white foam. The aroma consists of herbal and piney notes with berry undertones. The flavour is peppery and lightly smoky. The finish is dry with a mild lingering warmth.
