History & Style
A boat-load of extra hops (a natural preservative) made India Pale Ales (I.P.A.s) historically better suited for long voyages when shipping to British soldiers stationed afar, including India. Their distinct taste caught on, and now these ales are widely known and enjoyed for their aggressively hopped aromas and flavours.
Expect a bold-yet-balanced blend of hop bitterness and both citrus and earthy hop aromas, complemented by bready maltiness and caramel flavours.
Poutine made with curry roasted potatoes, curry sauce and curds; sticky-chili-glazed chicken thighs with mint and basil; pad thai; Mapo tofu; aged cheddar or gouda cheeses.
