History & Style
Possessing the fruity and strong malt character of an English-Style brown ale, the American-style brown ale is its bigger, brasher cousin. Although the malt presence doesn’t take any step back, the selection of west-coast-style hops is unmistakable in the concentration of aroma and flavour.
Tasting Notes
Citrus and pine aromas from the west-coast-style hops vie for centre stage with the robust malty character. Flavours of biscuit, chocolate, orange, grapefruit and pine co-mingle. The malt backbone is held in steady balance by firm bitterness.
Food Pairings
Szechuan, spicy pad thai, sharp cheeses such as manchego.
