VANKLEEK HILL – (Feb. 3, 2015) Week 2 of feBREWary, Beau’s All Natural’s month-long winter celebration of beer, will treat beer drinkers across Ontario to a new release from their Farm Table Series: a classic British-style Mild Ale. The beer will be tapped beginning Thursday Feb. 5 and throughout the coming week at 150 restaurants and pubs across Ontario.

Somewhat of a rare gem in recent times, Mild is a lower-alcohol brown ale that traditionally slaked the thirst of miners and other labourers in England and Wales. The Beau’s Farm Table Mild Ale is full-flavoured and traditionally sessionable (3.7% ABV), with pleasantly fruity aromas, notes of caramel, gentle hops and a clean finish. The Farm Table series is designed to highlight amiable, unequivocal beers that are true to style.

Farm Table Mild Ale will be available on draught at Beau’s 150 feBREWary partners; a list is online at www.beaus.ca/feBREWary. The beer will also be sold and served at the brewery in Vankleek Hill, ON beginning Thursday Feb. 5, and over the weekend as Beau’s feBREWary celebrations continue. A limited number of bottles will be available at a retail price of $4.55, and can also be ordered for home delivery in Ottawa via beer delivery service BYBO (www.bybo.ca).

Beau’s resident chef Bruce Wood will be on hand at the brewery both Saturday and Sunday, pairing the Farm Table Mild Ale with his pork sausage rolls made with Mild-Ale-infused grainy mustard & local Gouda – recipe cards of Chef Bruce’s creation will be available to take home and try out. Farm Table will be available in a traditional cask-conditioned format over the weekend, served naturally carbonated and at about 12 C, to let the complexity of the flavours shine through.

The Cheshire Cat in Carp, ON (www.cheshirecatpub.com) will be fêting Beau’s feBREWary and the release of Farm Table Mild Ale this Saturday Feb. 7, with a pub-wide board game party – bring your own or play one from the collection on hand. On Sunday Feb. 8, Ottawa restaurant Two Six {Ate} (www.twosixate.com) will host a “pop-up” Beau’s Beer Brunch from 10:30 am -3 pm, featuring beer cocktails, a Table D’hote menu, and samples of Farm Table Mild Ale.

FeBREWary 2015 is Beau’s All Natural’s 4th annual month-long beer event designed to “Give Old Man Winter a kick in the snowpants.” Next week’s feBREWary release from Beau’s is Strong Patrick Irish Red Ale, a natural “warm-up” for next month’s St. Paddy’s Day. Details on all the new beers, as well as upcoming events at the brewery and across the province at licensee partners are also available online at www.beaus.ca/feBREWary.
