(VANKLEEK HILL – Oct. 22, 2015) Beau’s Brewery has released the latest beer from their Farm Table Series into LCBOs: a super-versatile 5.5% Oktoberfest lager called a Märzen. This orangey-amber beer has just the right amount of hops to balance the satisfying bread and biscuit malt character, and features an ultra-clean finish to complete the package.

Fans of the local brewery will remember this award-winning beer recipe from previous years as “Night Märzen.” The name change comes as Beau’s has replaced their Seasonal Beer program with the Farm Table Series. The new series will serve up sessionable selections six times a year; beers that are inspired by tradition, and each brewed true to a classic style, such as a Märzen.

Beau’s resident Chef Bruce Wood has designed a brined and crispy grilled pork chop recipe to accentuate the malty notes in Farm Table: Märzen. “I love having kitchen parties where people grab a plate and some side dishes, then come to the stove where the pork chops are being fried up to enjoy right away, out of the pan,” says Chef Wood. The new recipe is available on the Beau’s website.

A two-month release, Farm Table: Märzen is available in Beau’s signature 600 mL bottles at LCBOs across the province; bottles can also be purchased directly from the brewery. Select restaurants and pubs will serve up Farm Table: Märzen in October/November, and it will also be available in the Québec market by early next week.
